ICT & Logistics

Every year, the Jaarbeurs transforms into the logistics hub of the Netherlands, where logistics professionals gather to discover new knowledge, solutions, connections and inspiration.

Are you active in the logistics sector and want to stay informed about the latest standards for flexible, safe, and trusted data sharing? Then come to the knowledge session 'Applying Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI): use cases Schiphol and Portbase' at ICT & Logistics.

During this session, Portbase and Schiphol will present their concrete experiences with the Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI) agreement framework. Both main ports have taken significant steps in applying BDI as a key to further digitalisation and efficiency.

  • You will gain insight into various use cases and learn how BDI is restructuring the data domain within logistics.
  • Portbase: How is maritime data being shared with trusted parties outside the Port Community System in a standardised, safe, and reliable manner, to promote smarter port processes?
  • Schiphol: How did the Smart Cargo Mainport Programme (SCMP) function as a Living Lab for BDI? And what impact does the connection to BDI have on the acceleration of data exchange in the air freight chain?

The session will be presented by Leopold Jonkman (Project Manager Portbase) and Marco van Katwijk (Project Manager Schiphol/Cargonaut).

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, 4 November 2025 from 10:45 to 11:15 AM in Theatre 2 at ICT & Logistics.
