The core team
The DIL program is carried out through a set of Work packages, ranging from the development of the BDI agreement framework to program management and the initiation and support of Living Labs. Each Work package is led by one or more Work package leaders - passionate professionals with years of experience in both IT and logistics.
In addition, the DIL program actively leverages the broad expertise within its network. Together with partners such as Topsector Logistiek, port authorities, Port Community System, and regulatory bodies, we work in a focused and collaborative way toward the key priorities of the program.
Work package 1: Development Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI)
A key focus within DIL is the development, practical application, and adoption of the BDI framework within logistics chains. The foundation for this is laid through Work package 1. Ewout Bouwman and Jack van Grunsven lead this team, which also includes IT experts.
Work package 2: Living Labs
In the Living Labs, digital data exchange based on the BDI framework is put into practice through close collaboration with an increasing number of companies in the logistics chain. Luc Scheidel (Schiphol) is responsible for the Air freight/Schiphol Living Labs, while Leopold Jonkman (Portbase) oversees the Maritime/Portbase Living Labs. Ruud Arts and Léarco Kooman lead the recruitment, setup, and coordination of new Living Labs.
Work package 3: Logistics Digital
To ensure that SMEs can become "digital ready", there is Logistics Digital: an accessible and hands-on guide for digital growth. The implementation of this program is managed by evofenedex and TLN. Johan Kerver is the Work package leader and, on behalf of evofenedex, holds final responsibility. Joost van Deursen is the project manager, responsible for daily operations. The team also includes digitalization advisors, content creators, and communication consultants.
Work package 4: Program management & Communication
Work Package 4 concerns the overall program management of DIL, including communication, stakeholder management, and public affairs. Jaap Stoppels is the DIL program manager, Petra Vreugdenhil serves as the program management officer, and Ronald Driessen is responsible for communication.
Work package 5: Adoption BDI
From Work package 5, we work toward the DIL objective of widespread adoption of digital data exchange based on the BDI within the logistics cahin. IT companies play a key role in this, increasingly developing software for their logistics clients based on the BDI framework. DIL supports this with advice, training, and course offerings. Léarco Kooman leads this effort.
